1. Re: Page x of y within groups
RodWard May 12, 2014 1:30 AM (in response to Sreekanth_S)Yep. But there's no automatic way to do it.
You'll just need to create some user variables and then display them in text captions or smart shapes on the relevant slides.

Sreekanth_S May 12, 2014 1:44 AM (in response to RodWard)Can you please explain that? Also, will these variables be generic in nature because, I want to store this in a template and reuse them in all projects based on that template.

Sreekanth_S May 12, 2014 2:57 AM (in response to RodWard)Thanks Rod.
I know what variables are and how to create / display them. I would like to know how to create group-specific navigation variables. For example, equivalents of cpInfoCurrentSlide and cpInfoSlideCount.

5. Re: Page x of y within groups
RodWard May 12, 2014 4:09 AM (in response to Sreekanth_S)I don't understand what you're trying to do. I would keep the variables as three separate entities. In my courses, the module is the CPTX file, and the Topic is a given slide or group of slides.

6. Re: Page x of y within groups
Lilybiri May 12, 2014 4:16 AM (in response to RodWard)No, Sreekanth , there are no system variables related to groups. I have
given up to ask that kind of variables, that are linked to TOC where groups
are displayed.
You will need to create user variables for group names. With shared
actions, maybe?

Sreekanth_S May 12, 2014 5:49 AM (in response to Lilybiri)Thanks Rod and Lilybiri.
This task should be done by novice users of Captivate as well. It looks like they will find it too complicated. I will leave it for now.
