Don't know if this is a bug or a feature, but GREP is known to behave this way with some expressions in ID.
Strange feature. If I have over 300 articles to center (in fact 600 since we work in two frames a dutch and a french side), the "change all" cannot be used, which forces me to ask if it can be automated in any way.
Peter is totally right! but I use Multi-Find/Change to avoid this. So, when you try to do it in a regex, I use several regex. And that works!
Here, for you, it's easy to fix. I like this: "With MFC, only 2 click!, the first, to treat the problem, the second, to make coffee!"
I use the query manager to do it. Works fine in 2 steps, but I still find it a strange behavior. I noticed it on another occasion too. Applying "superscript" char style to a footnote reference in grep tab works only when you apply "change all". if you do it step by step it gives you the string (~F).
