Yes. Group the element, then move the group where you want it, and then ungroup it.
Thanks. I tried Command + A to select all but it doesn't seem to work.
How do I group them all?
Is it just one element that has the motion path, or multiple elements with motion paths?
Regardless of which, select it or them on the Stage or in the Elements panel, and then choose Modify > Group Elements. After you move the group, you can ungroup from the same menu.
One element - but it has several key frames.
Group the element, and then reposition the group. That will move all the keyframes, too (relative to the group).
Thanks - that works!
Minor point - when I group them they disappear from the timeline. When I ungroup again all good - I guess that's a bug?
Not sure…can you post a before/after screenshot?
Sorry it's for an internal website so I can't.
I just click the image with the motion path, select modify/group elements - it disappears though the outline is still round the image, move it, modify/ungroup elements and it appears again.
Oh, I thought you meant the keyframes disappeared.
I can't seem to make the element itself disappear from the Stage by grouping, although I can get it so the group appears empty, depending where the playhead is in regard to the the Location transition. But the element is always visible. That's not a bug, just the base state of the element when it was grouped. Maybe that's what you see?
Otherwise, without seeing your composition it would be difficult to say whether it's a bug, or in some state in the timeline where the image is not on the Stage or hidden. Doesn't seem too serious if it's all visible again when you ungroup.
The image is always visible on the stage pre grouping.
It disappears at every point on the timeline when I group.
This is within a symbol - FYI.
