Hello, I have worked through the Adobe Classroom in a book and have started on my own site.
I have a problem in styling the menu bar. Whatever I do it always has a grey background. In the control panel I have set the colour to no colour; I have tried changing the colour to match my page colour without success. I click on the menu then click on the fill tab and try to change the colour to a blue but when I go to preview I still have a grey background. The text is droid bold caps in white but I cannot create a drop shadow on the text. The effects button opens OK and I can make the adjustments but nothing happens.
The instructions regarding altering text in the book do not appear to work on my own site. The book was printed in 2013 but I appreciate the software has been updated several times since, which may account for some of the problems I am experiencing.
Any help duly welcome. Kind regards
Bill
Hi Bill
You would need to define states for menu item. The menu button shows you active normal state on page and when you specify fill color that's for active state, as a result gray shows up for normal state.
