To your bullets query, you can give this a try:
While exporting the file to epun there is an option for the Bullets in the formatting options(under general tab in Epub export options). in its drop sown select convert to text.
This will retain the formatting as of text but on the cost that your bullets will not be listed as the unordered list in the .xhtml of the corresponding epub.
Also, if your document contains multiples series of the lists to which you dont want to convert to text, you can selectively mark a particular list to convert to text from TYPE-->BULLETS AND NUMBERING--> CONVERT TO TEXT.
To your color thing i just want to confirm ow have you lighten your color?
Okays Thanks Monica!!!
i have added using effects panel. opacity slider to lighten the color.
Your welcome ricjordan
Ooops we don't support transparency in the epub. But if its just about lighten the shade you can use tint. It is a slider in the swatches panel. It will generate a new shade but without transparency.
