Can my Indesign Interactive PDF be viewed by people without Flash?

I am creating Interactive PDFs within Indesign. To get the animation to work correctly I see (from Adobe TV tutorials) that I have to first export the animation portions as a .swf (flash movie), then reimport it back into Indesign, then make the Interactive PDF for it to work.

My question is: Will anyone who ONLY has the free Acrobat Reader be able to see the animations and interactive elements, or will they have to have Flash on their machine?

If they have to have Flash, I can't use this function as my PDF needs to be accessible to anyone on the internet who has the free Acrobat Reader.
