We have an issue with Indesign where we are trying to save files from within the application. Essentially the user when saving the file wants to create a new folder on a server to save the file in but gets access denied - read only error when creating the folder from within the save as dialog.
They have full access permissions to the folder they are trying they to create the new folder in (If they create the folder at the finder then all is well) but previous folders and including the root of the share they only have ready access to and this is where I think the problem lies. Is anyone aware of this problem, specifically where you do not have right access to the entire path?
We are using the latest Mac Pro's with Mavericks 10.9.3.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
First, you should ask in InDesign
Second, I am Windows but I have some saved Mac links that may help
Mac 10.9.3 https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1480238
Mac and Root User http://forums.adobe.com/thread/879931
Third, The Cloud forum is not about using individual programs
The Cloud forum is about the Cloud as a delivery & install process
If you will start at the Forums Index https://forums.adobe.com/welcome
You will be able to select a forum for the specific Adobe product(s) you use
Click the "down arrow" symbol on the right (where it says All communities) to open the drop down list and scroll
Last, problems of permissions in the Windows world are "often" cured by doing what it says in this link
