Memory and more processor settings? What is in your comp? H.264 takes longer to render then many other formats, especially from the render queue.
Unusually long renders can occur when you have temporal effects, particle effects, or other things going on. The composition is over two hours long. That's really long for a composition. After Effects is primarily used to render shots or short sequences. 96 hours to render two hours of video may be completely normal or you may have settings fouled up.
What renderer are you using? Are you using the ray-traced 3D renderer?
OKay I solved it
I deleted the Intro and the render time was 20-30 mins
if any one think i should change any of the settings let me know
or if I should use something else other then H.264
Thanks Rick and Todd !
I never recommend rendering h.264 out of After Effects. Either send your AE comp to the Adobe Media Encoder or, as I prefer, render a lossless, intermediate file out of After Effects and use that file in the Adobe Media Encoder to make the h.264
so you render it first then convert it
why not just send it to AME ?
is it better ?
I think I will just send it to AME
and anything better than h.264
in the same time not so big in size ( considering uploading time )
Why not just send your After Effects comp to the Adobe Media Encoder?
If you're using the ray-traced renderer, it's much faster to render out of
If you want to experiment with various compression settings or if you need
to make several different formats, it's much faster to render from a
lossless video file than to render your AE comp over and over again each
time you make a new version.
It's always a good idea to keep an archive-quality version around as a
If you want to have the same kind of automation, you can render a lossless
intermediate file out of AE into a folder you designate as a watch folder
for the Adobe Media Encoder and it will automatically make an H.264 (or
whatever you want it to make).
Those are my reasons, but they don't apply to every situation.
from lossless to H.264 in AME
was fast I thought it would take long but not at all
