1. Re: I am using PS CC can I delete older versions of PS without creating any issues?
twenty_one May 30, 2014 11:13 AM (in response to gaimages)"Officially" that's not supposed to cause any problems, but in the real world it often does. A common problem is lost file associations and you may have to go into the registry to restore them (which is something you don't want unless absolutely necessary).
The safe way to do it is to uninstall everything in reverse version order (newest first), then reinstall.

2. Re: I am using PS CC can I delete older versions of PS without creating any issues?
NightSkyGuy May 30, 2014 11:15 AM (in response to gaimages)Theoretically, yes. Though I recommend you do an "Uninstall" rather than a delete. I say "theoretically" because I once had a very nasty problem trying to uninstall a CS3 BETA release that resulted in an inability to properly install any subsequent releases. This was on Windows Vista.
This is old, but should apply: FAQ: How do I uninstall the Photoshop CS6 beta?

3. Re: I am using PS CC can I delete older versions of PS without creating any issues?
csuebele May 30, 2014 12:57 PM (in response to gaimages)Just to add to this, I would be reluctant to uninstall CS6. Not for messing up your computer, but for having a backup of PS. Also some features are being removed from CC: Kuler, mini bridge, and oil paint, so if you want to use some of those features, it might be best to keep the older version.

4. Re: I am using PS CC can I delete older versions of PS without creating any issues?
John Waller May 30, 2014 2:38 PM (in response to gaimages)I'm with csuebele. I would keep CC and CS6 installed.
Is CS6 your perpetually licensed version? If so, I would keep that installed and handy as a failsafe in case you ever hit any glitches with Cloud licensing checks or membership renewals. It happens (sometimes to some people).
If you remove everything except CC and hit licensing snags, you're stuck with no working software (or perhaps only a trial version).
But that's just me.

Trevor.Dennis May 30, 2014 4:26 PM (in response to gaimages)Or you could add another drive, and move things to that drive. If you already have a second drive for data etc., depending on your operating system, there will most likely be lots of things you can do to make space on your boot drive.
What operating system are you using, and how many drives do you have? If it's a laptop, then that changes things of course, but you could still use an external drive.

6. Re: I am using PS CC can I delete older versions of PS without creating any issues?
gaimages May 31, 2014 8:11 AM (in response to gaimages)Thanks all. Great advice. I will keep CS6 along with CC. I do also have CS5 and would love to uninstall if again there are no potential issues. Thoughts? Thanks again.

7. Re: I am using PS CC can I delete older versions of PS without creating any issues?
John Waller May 31, 2014 12:41 PM (in response to gaimages)I think we've already indirectly said that there are no issues with uninstalling CS5.
Just keep CS6 installed alongside CC.
