Adobe digital editions not uploading books onto kobo

Adobe digital editions says that a book I borrowed from the library has been uploaded to my kobo, but it doesn't appear on the device. How can I fix this?

Now, every time I try to add a book it says "failed to write destination file."

I fixed this problem by doing the following.

1. After transferring the book eject the e-reader using Kobo Desktop.

2. Do not turn off the e-reader but disconnect the usb cord.

3. A message should appear Processing Content. After this finishes you library book should be there.
