1. Re: When creating an Android app in DPS App Builder, why do I not have the option of "Multi Folio with Amazon Subscription"?
David Herrera Jun 11, 2014 10:53 AM (in response to MABury)Hi MABury,
Support for Amazon was pulled in April. Is there somewhere in the current documentation where you see Amazon mentioned?
Thanks,

MABury Jun 11, 2014 11:00 AM (in response to David Herrera)No I do not see Amazon mentioned anywhere. Yes I understand support was pulled, but I need to re-create this app that we are selling in the Amazon store. Will a Google Play App sell in the Amazon Store? I don't know if that is a dumb question but I am not really familiar with Android devices and apps even though I publish for them as well as iOS. The DPS App Builder doesn't offer Amazon as a choice anymore. We changed our app to Native and then back to Legacy because our customers couldn't get their magazines anymore. I just re-created one of our magazines on 6/03/14 and had the option of Amazon as a subscription, but today I don't. So why?

Neil Enns - Adobe Jun 11, 2014 11:22 AM (in response to Neil Enns - Adobe)You can create an app using either the legacy App Builder or new web app builder and not select any purchasing option and submit that app to Amazon, however you will not have any in-app purchase available.

MABury Jun 11, 2014 11:35 AM (in response to Neil Enns - Adobe)Fantastic! This is an already existing app "Ceramics Monthly" that we have already sold and the customers were having an error when downloading so I tried to fix it by re-creating the app. SO now what do I do? The old APK was damaged so it wasn't working. Now I have nothing??? We are a Pro Edition Multifolio app subscription.

Neil Enns - Adobe Jun 11, 2014 1:10 PM (in response to MABury)Do you still have the previous version of your legacy app available in App Builder for download? You can download that and submit it and it will have Amazon support, but you can't edit it.

MABury Jun 12, 2014 6:17 AM (in response to Neil Enns - Adobe)No I don't so that is the problem. What should I do? We have people calling in because they can't download their purchases.

8. Re: When creating an Android app in DPS App Builder, why do I not have the option of "Multi Folio with Amazon Subscription"?
Neil Enns - Adobe Jun 12, 2014 8:33 AM (in response to MABury)Did you ever have a legacy version of the viewer that you had submitted to Amazon and had approved? If so, please send me a private message with your App Builder account ID and your publication Account ID. We may be able to recover that prior build for you.

9. Re: When creating an Android app in DPS App Builder, why do I not have the option of "Multi Folio with Amazon Subscription"?
MABury Jun 12, 2014 8:53 AM (in response to Neil Enns - Adobe)I found a folder with an old APK file that worked. I wish I could edit it because it has the wrong splash screen attached to it, but at least the app is working. I wish I could have the app back in app builder and be able to edit that. I understand that you all aren't going to support these Amazon Subscription apps but we have current subscribers and they may have a full year left. We are stuck with an app that we still need to use until their subscriptions are up before we can make a change to how our android user are going to receive their magazines. Adobe should allow some sort of support for this type of situation. Now I have an app with a bad splash screen that looks completely unprofessional. Is there anyway to recover the file in App Builder? Is that what you were referring to or were you just referring to the APK file? I do appreciate all your help and attention to this.

Neil Enns - Adobe Jun 12, 2014 8:55 AM (in response to MABury)Hi,
I was just referring to recovering your previous APK. We do not support editing viewers that use Amazon anymore, so unfortunately you'll have to stick with the old splash screen in your Amazon app.
Neil
