I think that's the right way to ask this question. I'm using CS6 and I've created a few symbols that are essentially text that gets revealed from left to right. The problem is, when I drag new instances of this symbol to my workspace, they're showing the first frame - which is white. Is there any way to set a symbol to display a particular frame in the workspace? It would make life much easier if I could display the last frame, which would be showing me the text that I'm revealing.
Hope that makes sense - and hope there's a solution. Thanks!
but you could add a temporary layer in your symbol that displays the full text in the first frame so you can more easily make edits when adding your symbol to another timeline. delete that layer when no longer needed.
Thanks kglad - I don't have very many of them that I'll have to go back and modify, so this will work.
p.s. please mark helpful/correct responses.
