Is your Premiere Elements 11...Adobe Premiere Elements 11 Editor or Quick Editor purchased from the Mac App Store or Premiere Elements 11 purchased from Adobe? The Mac App Store version has been highly problematic.
What is the situation....is the issue "it never worked before" or "it worked before but not now"?
We will try to find Premiere Elements answers for you for your Premiere Elements program. Your details
will direct us in trying to do that.
it worked before but not now
i purchased it from Adobe
Thanks for the reply.
Please clarify "I can't run my Adobe premier element 11 software on Maverick"?
Can you deactivate it from within a project, uninstall it, and reinstall it? Is the program listed in installed programs?
Since it worked before but not now, that is in our favor.
This tends to make me think to updates. What programs and Mac features are set to update automatically on your computer which it has installed on it the Premiere Elements 11 Maverick? Can we assume that you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on the computer involved? If so, is QuickTime working?
How far do you get into the program....desktop icon, Welcome Screen, Expert workspace, other?
Have you looked into the issue with and without the anitvirus problem disabled? And have you checked the permissions on the computer to determine if they got changed unknowingly? Have you re-evaluation the Scratch Disks situation - location, free space, and pile ups?
We could look into installation and running of the program from a new User Account with Administrative privileges in the thought that the current one has become corrupted.
If you have not already, you could think uninstall, ccleaner run through, reinstall to get rid of leftovers from incomplete installs and installs?
Before that, you could delete the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file....Users/User name/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Premiere Elements/11.0. And, in the 11.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete.
Are there any error messages associated with this issue?
Please review to make sure that my assumed Premiere Elements Mac features are in the right place from my Premiere Elements Windows perspective.
