I am not sure if this is a bug or not, but i converted a file from inDesign CS5 that used text frames with the vertical justification set to "justify" (to align the bottoms of two side by side text boxes) - and this worked correctly, but after I converted it to inDesign CC, i noticed that the text was no longer justified.
After some troubleshooting, it seems that having an anchored object with a text run-around anywhere in the frame makes it ignore the "justify" option and it becomes "top" aligned.
Is this a "bug or a feature" and is there a workaround i can use to avoid reflowing a 600 page book?
Actually, I think it's the text wrap that's doing it. You lose vertical justification when you have a non-rectangular text area.
Hi, thanks for your response!
But it worked correctly in CS5 - it justified the text frame even though there was an anchored object with a text wrap within the frame. It's exactly the same file, but when it reflows in CC, it loses the justification.
