I've been asked to edit a few youtube vids for a friend.
They do not have originals so I've downloaded them from youtube with YTD.
Made a few edits in After Effects CS6 & now wish to render them ready for youtube upload.
I'm aware that by this stage they have already been compressed a lot & would like to prevent further compression as much as possible.
So my question is this -
What would be the recommended settings to render out the vids in AE CS6 ?
I also have Media Encoder.
Make them look as good as you can in AE then use the YouTube presets in Adobe Media encoder to render your h.264 files. Just match the comp frame rate and frame size. That's all there is to it. You may want to jack up the data rate a bit, say from 8 to 10 for the HD presets.
Beware of copyright infringement. YouTube is getting a lot more diligent of pulling pirated videos and pirated music.
