Chrome adblocker extension destroys Muse webpage.

So, I've come across an interesting bug in Adobe Muse. It doubles as a "feature" in Chrome! It sounds crazy, but let me explain: I was making a site for a client and one of the pages is named/titled "advertise." The site plays well on Safari and Internet Explorer on my machine. However, in Chrome, the css would drop out on that one particular page and break it to the point where I had to use the back button to navigate the site because even the navbar was gone. I noticed an indicator of the problem: the icon for the "advertise" page wouldn't show up on the navbar on any of the other pages as well--but only in Chrome. I tried everything: looking as source code and comparing it with other pages, taking out the reference to the phone version css... even rearranging the order of the pages in Muse (that last one was a Hail Mary, and it didn't work either). Then, I used the "inspect element" feature in Chome and I found this little gem (see image).

It appears that my Chrome adblocker extension caught ahold of the metadata for the "advertise" page and tried to block it! Since it was a root level page, and NOT a pop-up ad, it destroyed the page instead! The tell was the missing icon for the "advertise" page in the navbar. Since the icon was named "advertise_icon.png" or something like that, my adblocker would only block the icon in the navbar for the other pages. But when I navigated to the "advertise" page, since there is a lot of metadata with the word "advertise" on that particular page, it broke everything! I had to take the site down because of patent issues for the client, but I managed to get the screen grab first.

To double check, I renamed the page and title to "test." Lo, and behold, the icon was still absent, but I could navigate to the page with the CSS intact. Only then, could I actually see my adblocker engaging, dutifully blocking my header image and any other image that had the word "advertising" as part of its file name.

So let this be a lesson to web designers: You will not even see this bug unless you have an adblocker installed on your machine and you have the word "advertising" anywhere in your metadata.
