1. Re: Where is the Infocus selection in the new Photoshop CC?
John Waller Jun 18, 2014 12:56 PM (in response to JohnHenry5252)Should be Select > Focus Area
If not, you're not running CC 2014.

2. Re: Where is the Infocus selection in the new Photoshop CC?
Noel Carboni Jun 18, 2014 1:00 PM (in response to JohnHenry5252)Check Help - System Info to ensure it says Version: 2014.0.0.
Keep in mind that the new version is a separate application from the previous installation of Photoshop CC 14.x, which will remain on your system. Check how you're starting it.
When you are running the right version, you should see this:

3. Re: Where is the Infocus selection in the new Photoshop CC?
rdailey4 Jun 18, 2014 1:26 PM (in response to Noel Carboni)I just updated all my Adobe programs, Photoshop CC Camera Raw and Bridge, and the update manager said all programs were updated. Bridge and Camera Raw were indeed updated, but Photoshop did not. Any help would be appreciated.

5. Re: Where is the Infocus selection in the new Photoshop CC?
Pete.Green Jun 18, 2014 1:32 PM (in response to rdailey4)Try quitting, and restarting the Creative Cloud Desktop Application.
Alternatively, you could Sign out, and Sign back into the CC Desktop Application.
You should then see the CC (2014)

Paul Horowitz Jun 19, 2014 1:00 PM (in response to KristerP)Tried all of that. Just spent an hour with PS tech support and they couldn't figure it out. I am supposed to get a call back from Adobe to try to fix the problem.

That is a Photoshop CC update.
It's not the new Photoshop CC 2014.

Paul Horowitz Jun 19, 2014 3:37 PM (in response to John Waller)On my CC apps it says you have updated your PS CC (2014). If this is different from PS CC could you tell me how to get to 2014.

12. Re: Where is the Infocus selection in the new Photoshop CC?
JohnHenry5252 Jun 19, 2014 3:44 PM (in response to Paul Horowitz)I thought when Photoshop updated yesterday it would be there. CC updated.
An hour after I posted this CC 2014 was ready to install. Why bother
updating CC. It just made me think that was what was happening instead of
CC2014.

Paul Horowitz Jun 19, 2014 3:48 PM (in response to Paul Horowitz)Thank you John. I did nor realize that the new 2014 is a separate update. I found it when I typed it onto my start screen and there it was. Thank you to everybody who pitched in to help.

Um, that's not true. What makes you think so?
Deinstalling Photoshop CC 14.x prematurely may leave you without some functionality that you rely upon. Think through it before acting.

16. Re: Where is the Infocus selection in the new Photoshop CC?
vdite Jun 20, 2014 7:38 AM (in response to Noel Carboni)i have done so on my Mac and on a Windows 7 Machine. On Windows 7 i had to run all Apps as Admin once to rebuild some files.
Photoshop now is starting much faster and I'am not missing anything. Adobe CC 2014 Apps are standalone, so you cant't even reinstall the old ones after deinstalling them! They are not longer availiable on CC Management App

It's not easy to find, but if you set the Find New Apps filter to Previous Version, you can install any older versions that are installable by the Creative Cloud app.
