DW CC 2014 does not open on Mac 10.9.3

Can you please let us know what OS you are on. Also can you describe a bit more about the situation i.e. what happens when you try to launch Dreamweaver CC 2014. Can you please also attach a snapshot of the issue. That would be very helpful.

Having the same issue. I tried reinstallation and it didn't fix the issue.

I have this issue as well. Installed the update - which sits alongside Dreamweaver CC, rather than updating it, so once again we've got multiple Adobe apps of different generations clogging up the machine. Double click, and it appears to launch then exit immediately.

Running Mavericks with Java installed to suit Dreamweaver CC, which still opens fine. Have updated extensions manager, but not all the CC apps due to the download time. Nothing in console, installation appears fine.

Looks like an issue I saw with Java before, but Java is installed and CC remains working, it's just the 2014 update that won't launch.

Dreamweaver does seem to be the most troublesome part of CC overall.

Dreamweaver CC 2014 is not an update but full application of Dreamweaver latest release.

Do you have 10.9.3 as mavericks version? Do you see any error message ? If yes, please post a snapshot.

I'm aware it's not a patch, but a new version. However, do you think users really want V 13 and V14 coexisting on a platform after being pushed into a subscription model? Would you expect iOS apps to behave the same way - V1 of PS Touch being joined by V2, V3 etc?

It's 10.9.3 on a Mac Pro, 2008, 8-core, 8GB RAM, GTX 680 graphics. No error messages, nothing in the console. Just "open, menu bar flash, nothing". Repaired permissions just in case. Java SE 7 V 60 installed, SE 6 probably present as well from past Dreamweaver 13 issue.

Connection speed is so slow here (and I'm busy) so connect session probably isn't feasible, but given the number of complaints I'm seeing across google for Dreamweaver (20)14 not booting, sounds like theres a proper issue here and not some user error.

To investigate that issue only we need to have a look on user's machine because it's not consistently reproducible with every Mac 10.9.3

Could you try re-install of Dreamweaver CC 2014? I am suggesting this because it worked for one of the user on forums.

The user can always uninstall V13 and go for V14 if coexisting builds are an issue. If not, the user has a fallback option in V13, in case he/she doesn't like a specific new feature.

Its all about providing flexibility to the user.

A fresh install has helped resolved the issue for one of the users. Its worth giving a shot !

You need to follow these steps.

1. Launch creative cloud application.

2. Go to Preferences and go to Account tab.

3. Sign out from there and then quit creative cloud application.

4. Launch Creative cloud again and log-in back again

5. Then download and install the product.

Please revert if you still face any issue.

I'm having the same problem - OSX 10.9.3, Dreamweaver CC 2014 will not run.  I click on the app, and nothing happens.  I ran the Dreamweaver 2014 Uninstall program, reinstalled it, and still no luck.  Photoshop CC 2014 runs fine.  The old Dreamweaver CC still runs fine.  The log ends in Exit Code 0 - no errors.

Thanks, wsrphoto - good find.  Deleting both the preference panel along with the app and reinstalling solved the problem for me too.

Dreamweaver CC works, but CC 2014 doesn't even bounce in the dock when I open it. It just flashes and closes. No error messages no logs no nothing.

Nothing to screen capture and re-installing doesn't work...

Jeff - Try uninstalling again, and be sure to check the checkbox on the right side of the uninstall screen that says "Delete the Preference Panel" and then reinstall.   wsrphoto discovered that this solves the problem.  It fixed the problem for me on both of my macs.

I am having the same problem as everyone else. It bounces in the dock a few times and then disappears. good thing i kept the old version!

Did you try re-install? If yes, did you select the preferences option during uninstall on right side of uninstaller dialog as highlighted in screenshot below?

Will this mess up any saved prefs from the original DWCC?

I'm not sure, Jeff;  I had been using my DWCC preferences at their defaults, so I can't tell if they got overwritten.  But I suspect the DW 2014 preferences would be independent of the old version.  You might want to make a current backup just to be safe, before you do the uninstall of DW 2014

Dreamweaver CC preferences will co-exist with Dreamweaver CC 2014 and should not interfere.

Even then, just as a caution as Glenn rightly suggested - You can choose to do a backup of DWCC preferences before opting to remove it.

We apologize for the inconvenience. If you still have problems, can you do a clean uninstall using Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 and then try reinstalling? Sometimes files get corrupt for various reasons, and this is the best possible way to remove all such files.

I understand that it is more work than you hoped for for and you may have to go this route only if the solution offered previously does not work for you.

I am having the same issue with my installation of DW CC 2014.  I have used the cleaner tool and re-installed but that still did not work.  I opened the console and see this message every time I try to launch:

Unable to collect cdhash for /Applications/Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2014/Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2014.app (error code -67028)

I too am having this issue.  I have reinstalled twice now but it still bounces then quits in the dock.

Hello All,

Please go to Finder > Applications

Then open Font Book.

Check two fonts Tahoma and Verdana. These fonts should be enabled.

If these fonts are enabled then select the font and Go to File > Validate Font.

After this try launching Dreamweaver.

Resolved !

The problem is not DW CC 2014. If you make an installation on a new cession, DW CC is working very well. So the problem is about your user permissions.

Let's fix it !

Before the steps below, uninstall DW CC 2014

1 - in the finder go to "Library" (maintain "alt" before clicking "go to" menu to see "Library" item)

2 - Find the folder "Application support", open it

3 - Find the folder "Adobe", select it

4 - Right clic on the selected folder and choose "read information"

5 - Unlock the window (bottom right icon)

6 - Select "Read and write" for ALL users ("you", "other groups" and "everyone")

7 - Below you will see a toothed wheel, click it and select "include all items"

8 - Validate the dialog box and close the window

9 - Return to "Library" folder, find "Preferences" and select it

10 - Then follow and repeat the steps 4 to 8

11 - Install DW CC 2014

12 - Enjoy !!
