3. Re: edge 2014 and code
heathrowe Jun 20, 2014 5:57 AM (in response to smenegassi)Its actually 'streamlines' your workflow by taking out 'the guess work'.
In the old Actions Editor, the hints only provided half the solution, whereby you had manually fill in the 'selector' element/reference.
In the new Actions Editor, as you select the appropriate 'action hint', and navigate your way towards the 'target' element - Edge Animate now shows all the 'target' options upon which you want to apply the action. Ie it takes out the guess work for you.
Hope this helps

4. Re: edge 2014 and code
smenegassi Jun 20, 2014 5:59 AM (in response to smenegassi)Hi,
I ve seen that. I don't like it . It is not enough. If you are not a coder, coding became to much limited now.
Can't I go back to the older version ?
I believe Adobe made a mistake.

It is not enough! Seriously! It is my favorite feature thus far. Have you given it a try.

6. Re: edge 2014 and code
smenegassi Jun 20, 2014 6:26 AM (in response to heathrowe)Thanks. As you say I'll give it a try. What I meant is that I believe this way of doing things doesn't urge people on learning javascript.
I came from AS3 and I did (or I am still doing) the transition almost without pain. And the old interface really helped me.
I believe I'll just forget about this new interface and just code.
I like all the others newness : pan, video, spritesheet
Thanks for your link. I' ll keep it in case I need to Crlt Z.
Have a nice day and thanks again for your quick answer.

7. Re: edge 2014 and code
heathrowe Jun 20, 2014 6:35 AM (in response to smenegassi)No problem
The new Actions Panel routine will prove handy for 'deep' nested elements and symbol elements.
The old way you had to 'know' off the cuff the 'traversing' path and type it out and hope it was correct.
