I'm trying to put a radial gradient within a rectangle and it squishes the gradient to an oval. I want a round gradient.

I create a rectangle, apply a radial gradient, play with it … but no problem:

I create new radial gradient and then new rectangle and keep getting this!

You can always create a square the dimensions you want, setup your gradient then Cut and Paste Into into your rectangle similar to a clipping mask.

You're right! Very funny. So, 90° rotation to fix this … problem!  [I don't know why …]

Well! So, if Height (e.g. = 100mm) >> Width  (e.g. = 50mm), create a rectangle Height = 50mm and Width = 100mm, apply a 90° rotation and apply the radial gradient. No more problem.

Very weird! but keep cool!

That seems like extra work but may have to do it that way for now. Thanks!

Yeah, it doesn't matter which way I create the rectangle, vert or horz, it still makes the gradient oval.

If, at the beginning, you need a rectangle with Width bigger than Height, there no problem with the radial gradient.

If Height bigger than Width (as you show in post#2), there's a problem. So I give you a tip in my post#8 to fix it.

I know it's weird but I don't know why we have the problem we talk about.
