          ....very interesting results !!!......the big question is why the dramatic performance increase regarding 4K and 6K, but, NONE on the AVCHD !!!

          It appears Adobe may be thinking 1080P is OVER already for professionals...hah!

            Well it was known before hand the GPU accelerated debayering for Red was coming in this update. The question really is what else has been updated and how has that changed CPU performance if any. Before this update R3D was threading great within Premiere both for playback and export. Now however the GPU accelerated debayering has changed that even though the performance is better. The CPU threading is fine during playback but very poor on export with the Dual CPU platform. I suspect that has to do with the decoding moving to Adobe's player versus using several instances of Red's Player in the past. Before you would see instances of Red's player in the processes when dealing with red media. Now there is only Adobe's and Quicktime showing. Once I have the complete benchmarks done on all the platforms, then maybe this can be taken to Adobe for review and optimizations in the future with the current threading. The Dual Xeon config shows so much potential now with realtime playback ie 6K full resolution playback with ease that the export times should be exponentially faster if threading was ideal. I will post more benchmark info in this thread as I get it done.

                    Did not complete all tests with 2x 780Ti cards on single 12 Core Xeon since results were the same as 1 GPU.
                    Mobile and Xeon laptops next but may be abit before I get some shells in to build and test.
