6. Re: Photoshop CC (2014) keeps coming up with Message Installation failed?
Trophy92 Jun 26, 2014 10:39 AM (in response to Jeff A Wright)I have tried Safe mode, uninstalling and reinstalling Air, looked at log files but getting nowhere. Creative cloud shows apps available to update (e.g. dreamweaver) which I do not subscribe to and says Install Lightroom 5 which is installed. It appears that the sync between Creative cloud app and my account is corrupt. Do you have any clear instructions as to how to resolve. Uninstalling and reinstalling Creative Cloud app does not work or signing out and then back in. Often I cannot get back to the home page in the creative cloud app.

7. Re: Photoshop CC (2014) keeps coming up with Message Installation failed?
Jeff A Wright Jun 26, 2014 10:53 AM (in response to Trophy92)Trophy92 please see the instructions listed in Errors "Exit Code: 6," "Exit Code: 7" | CS5, CS5.5. It sounds like you still need to complete step 4 which discusses adjusting your file permissions. You may also need to use Step 5 to review your log files to determine the exact location that your current User account file permissions have become compromised.

8. Re: Photoshop CC (2014) keeps coming up with Message Installation failed?
Trophy92 Jun 27, 2014 1:40 AM (in response to Jeff A Wright)Hi Jeff. Thanks for you help but I could really do without all this hassle of troubleshooting myself. I have spent three days on this and cannot afford the time. I went to CC on the promise of trouble free upgrades. Every time I try a solution I end up with another problem.
Safe boot caused me problems after rebooting in that certain apps opened as if they had never been opened before by saying this is an app downloaded etc. Today when I booted my computer my screens had swapped over so my main screen was now the second screen Why can't Adobe put up a simple set of things to try, the reasons why and explain. I do not know how to review logs etc. I just want to get on with my photography not troubleshooting.

10. Re: Photoshop CC (2014) keeps coming up with Message Installation failed?
Trophy92 Jun 27, 2014 2:45 AM (in response to Jeff A Wright)Did Step 4 but not certain which files need adjusting, renamed Adobe folder etc. During downloaded asked me to quit Photoshop CC but then immediately failed again. I just give up. I pay for regular updates but not getting what I paid for. I never had this trouble when purchasing updates.

13. Re: Photoshop CC (2014) keeps coming up with Message Installation failed?
Jeff A Wright Jun 27, 2014 8:37 AM (in response to Trophy92)Trophy92 I am sorry you continue to face difficulties installing the Creative Cloud Desktop application. It is possible that your current User account is unable to adjust file permissions which could be why you have tried applying the steps but continue to face difficulties.
If you would like direct support then please contact our support team directly at Contact Customer Care. For the best assistance, I recommend our chat support. Our chat representatives can provide a personalized experience to resolve the issues you have described. I would also recommend referencing this discussion.
Finally if you do wish to proceed I would recommend trying a different User account. Unless the Administrator group's permissions have been compromised the new User account should not experience the same difficulties. You can find more details on utilizing a new User account at Troubleshoot unexpected behavior | User account-specific | Adobe software | Mac OS.

14. Re: Photoshop CC (2014) keeps coming up with Message Installation failed?
Trophy92 Jun 30, 2014 2:37 AM (in response to Jeff A Wright)I finally found time this morning to log in to my test administrator account which I set up when I first set up my computer and have had no need to use. Creative Cloud still says I can download. Photoshop, Indesign, Dreamweaver (2014) etc but downloading Photoshop (2014) fails with exactly the same error. Surely there must be a bug somewhere. Also logging in to my web account I get the message that it cannot display my apps when I want to manage my account. Frustrating.
