1. Re: Is there a way to point my files back to CC 2014 programs after uninstalling the old CC?
MichaelKazlow Jun 23, 2014 6:05 PM (in response to bspence11)If you re-install CC 2014, it will fix associations. You can also do it manually.

bspence11 Jun 25, 2014 11:44 AM (in response to MichaelKazlow)Thanks for your help. I now have the correct program associated with the file types, but now the icons for .indd and .ai files look like a blank page instead of Adobe's icons for them. I then went so far as to reinstall InDesign, but that didn't fix it. Very frustrating to look at file a mix of .ai and .indd files and not be able to easily tell them apart.

MichaelKazlow Jun 26, 2014 1:40 PM (in response to bspence11)Did you re-install the apps or did you manually redo the file association. Re-installing should correct what you are seeing.

5. Re: Is there a way to point my files back to CC 2014 programs after uninstalling the old CC?
bspence11 Dec 1, 2014 12:41 PM (in response to Nikhil R Gupta)No, that doesn't work. The files have always opened using InDesign, but they don't have the .indd icon. I've thrown my hands up in frustration over this one. I have literally tried every trick posted around these forums, and I've looked for hours for a solution. It doesn't look like a fix is coming and Adobe doesn't really care that we can't tell our .ai files apart from our .indd files.
