    Lingo or Javascript

If you want to go deeper in Director programming, which language would you choose, Lingo or javscript? Please answer thinking about Director 11 or CS3. Maybe next version only will support one (I am guessing)

      Thanks

I would think it unlikely that Adobe would cut one of the languages. If they ever were to cut one, there would be a version or two when the language would still be available but depreciated.

With that said, Lingo has been with Director since the beginning. Lingo is a simpler language and not as similar to other languages. On the flip side, the implementation of JS in Director is an older version of the ECMA standard. Case in point, it used the prototype methodology rather than class methodology.

So, if it up to you which you pick.

actionscript. search for Director jobs, then search for Actionscript jobs.
            Then decide.
