How does Lightroom 5.5 find duplicates

You are best off asking such questions on the Lightroom forum but the best way to avoid duplicates is within the Import dialogue box where there is an option to avoid importing duplicates, there are some plug-ins that will also look for duplicates in your library and I hope those producers submit to Add-ons, please ask them to do so.
