It's really not a good business model !!!!
And I really think you're deluding yourself if you think you know Adobe's business better than Adobe.
Speaking for myself, I think the CC pricing model is the best thing that's happened in a long time: less than £9 a month for Photoshop and Lightroom?
Bring it on!
Oh - and if you really want to flog this particular dead horse, here's the forum for it: Adobe Creative Cloud

Noel Carboni Jun 24, 2014 12:09 PM (in response to Spowell1226)At some point you'll realize that if you were buying upgrades regularly you were already paying as you went along anyway.
Regarding business... Just look at what Adobe's stock did after they introduced the cloud subscription plan. You're not going to convince anyone to change it by providing your opinion on a forum.

You are mistaken if you think public opinion doesn't change the minds of people running these companies. When their sales decline, they will definitely get the message !

Noel Carboni Jun 24, 2014 4:15 PM (in response to Spowell1226)Dude, you're in the minority. People like the program. Adobe is doing better than they ever have.
When will your "perpetually licensed" software stop working? When it becomes incompatible with the latest OS? When the activation server goes offline?
Perhaps you wish the world wasn't switching over to having everything "pay as you go", but it is the reality. Can you buy a cell phone with which you can talk forever?
Maybe you're just miffed that you didn't see it coming, buy stock in Adobe, and have that pay for all your future subscription plans and then some.
