Kevin-Monahan Jun 25, 2014 6:46 PM (in response to ucagrad2002)Hi UCAgrad2002,
Check your Audio Hardware Preferences. More info here: Re: Premiere Pro CC 2014 won't play anything.
Does that work for you?
Thanks,

2. Re: Recently updated to Premier Pro CC 2014. Now AVCHD files have no audio.
Wyrm bait Jun 25, 2014 6:47 PM (in response to ucagrad2002)I can suggest you might need to wait, it might need to transcode the audio file. Also trying moving the cache folders around, delete the cache folder, premiere has like to create lots of audio files and if you leave these settings default it might be part of the problem.
I would clear your cache and let tell prem recreate all the audio files again.
Look: Edit, preference, media than change cache file location.
I would always recommend youi locate these on a scratch disc, well i do that.
Also CC 2014 installed as a 2nd version of CC, i think you might want to check and remove the old CC version.

3. Re: Recently updated to Premier Pro CC 2014. Now AVCHD files have no audio.
ucagrad2002 Jun 25, 2014 7:34 PM (in response to Kevin-Monahan)tried that. its a no go.
The clips don't even show an audio track to play so I don't think its a hardware setting issue. Premier pro isn't seeing the audio portion of the file.

5. Re: Recently updated to Premier Pro CC 2014. Now AVCHD files have no audio.
ucagrad2002 Jun 25, 2014 7:51 PM (in response to ucagrad2002)I went back and fully removed the old cc version. now 2014 is the only version installed. Still no audio.
I cleared the cache and cleared the bin with the media files. then re-imported them into PP.
I noticed a yellow caution symbol in the lower right corner of the screen. When you click on it, this is what you get.

7. Re: Recently updated to Premier Pro CC 2014. Now AVCHD files have no audio.
Kevin-Monahan Jun 26, 2014 11:35 AM (in response to ucagrad2002)Hi UCAgrad,
Some things to try:
- Choose Help > Sign Out, restart Premiere Pro, choose Help > Sign In. This activates the application.
- Some users have also had success by using Adobe Cleaner and then reinstalling Premiere Pro (on Mac).
- Another user (on Windows) had success by reinstalling the OS, then Premiere Pro.
Thanks,
Kevin

8. Re: Recently updated to Premier Pro CC 2014. Now AVCHD files have no audio.
ucagrad2002 Jun 26, 2014 8:05 PM (in response to Kevin-Monahan)I think signing out of CC and Signing back in may have done the trick. after doing so, the "agree to terms" came up again. seems to work now.
thanks y'all.

9. Re: Recently updated to Premier Pro CC 2014. Now AVCHD files have no audio.
Kevin-Monahan Jun 27, 2014 11:59 AM (in response to ucagrad2002)Great! Looks like the application was not activated. If you or anyone else see that certain codecs are not working, sign out then sign back in to re-activate.
Thanks,
Kevin
