I cant find or figure out how to show a lvl1 number in a lvl 2 paragraphstyle while i dont want the lvl 1 paragraph style to show a number.
So far i made a character style for letting the numbers of the header be nearly invisible but i really hope there is a more simple way.
Hope anyone can answer my question.
I thought I could do it, but I'm not having much luck. I found a post at InDesignSecrets.com that almost does what you want. But the Headers keep a number.
Then, when I tried the trick of setting the Header number format to None, the numbers in the subheads turned to 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.1, 0.2.
This confuses me as I know I use the trick with my numbered lists in my book. But they don't need the level ^1 inserted in the level 2 formula.
I wish I had better instructions.
Thank you for your respond.
I understand the lvling in the numbering though i just dont understand how to show a first lvl number in a second lvl while it aint showing in the lvl 1 paragraph.
Its about counting the amount of times a certain paragraph style is used i gues.
