InDesign CC 2014 arrived about a week ago.
If you have a subscription to the Creative Cloud, make sure you've downloaded the Creative Cloud desktop app from creative.adobe.com. It will then give you the updates for all your Creative Cloud applications.
Note that the availability will depend on your operating system. If you're still running 10.6 it won't be available.
I'm on Mac 10.6.8 so that must be the issue.
Thanks for the help
I had the same issue with receiving a file saying it was created in 10.0 and I can't open it.
- I'm on OS 10.9.4
- 2013 iMac with plenty of memory and storage
- I have Adobe Creative Cloud
- Confirmed all software is updated as of today
- My InDesign says CC (2014), and the version says 9.2.2
Can't open a file provided by another designer because it says it was created in a newer version. What's the deal? I know I can get them to give me an IDML file. I just expect my software to be the most current via CC so I don't have to deal with that.
If it says 9.2.2 it isn't CC (2014). Where do you see the 2014 designation?
I figured out the issue. There are both CC 9.2.2 and CC 2014 versions on my computer. The older one was saved in my dock and that's what was opening. Solved.
