Split clips in multi-track view while playing

Why can't you split clips in Audition CC while playing the audio like you could in older versions of Audition. As a radio producer i need to be clipping audio very quick while I'm listening through the audio. You can select a section of a clip and split-delete while playing, why not a simple split?

Also when you do select a part of a clip and delete (still in multi-rack mode) why does audition then select both end of the clip remaining automatically? Usually when you do this you are tightening up gaps so when you go to grab the right side split audio to move in the left side moves as well. I know its a simple click away and re-selct process, but gets annoying whe you are doing a lot of them and i can see no reason why you would want to default to having them both selected.

YES!!!!!! I requested this split 'feature' ages ago via a web submission, but never heard a peep in reply, and I totally miss it and require it for fast editing. It drives me crazy how it isn't there and I have to stop playing, reposition and continue. Using version 3 on the PC lets me do it. Please re-introduce it again. I know in Premiere they are all about doing changes and having the playhead still move, please enable this on here too.
