1. Re: Can I expect a smooth transitions from CS6 to CC2014 or is my system going to crash and leave me without?
John T Smith Jun 28, 2014 8:57 PM (in response to janwilson77)There is no way anyone can answer that question based on the information you have provided
First, what IS your system? (and that means DETAILS of your hardware and operating system)
Second, what programs do you use, and do you AT LEAST meet the minimum requirements?

Third, what do you DO with your programs?
-for example... SD video editing is a MUCH lower requirement than HD video editing

2. Re: Can I expect a smooth transitions from CS6 to CC2014 or is my system going to crash and leave me without?
janwilson77 Jun 28, 2014 9:15 PM (in response to John T Smith)True enough, John. Thanks. I am currently taking Graphic Design classes and I use the entire Adobe Creative Suite Daily. When I first enrolled we were encouraged to sign up for the free 30 day CC offering. I was also told to purchase the $400 (student price) Adobe CS6 software. When I received the full version, I installed and immediately had issues. None of my old assignments would link anymore, among other things. I couldn't get anything to work right anymore. I involved Adobe Tech support. They couldn't resolve issue and instructed me to uninstall all of the Creative Cloud files because the two programs wouldn't work together. So, my concern is that I will run into the same issues. I love the thought of all the upgrades but I NEED to be up and running. I don't have the luxury or time to be without my software. Also I am working on a MacBook Pro 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7 16GB 1600 MHz DDR3 OS x 10.9.3. Thanks for any feedback.
