New iMac with 32Gb Ram. Installing CC. In Design returned this message "Unable to launch Adobe InDesign as you do not have sufficient permissions to access the preferences folders. Ensure that you have appropriate permissions and then restart Adobe InDesign". Using same credentials as on my laptop which has no problems. How do I get round this block please. Thanks to the experts who are able and willing to advise.
Thank you so much for your prompt and very helpful reply. Didn't have a version 9 but applied your advice to Version 10 (in design 2104) and all worked very well.
Next stop: persuading Premiere Pro and After effects to recognise the version of Quicktime in the new iMac. It insists I don't have Quicktime installed.
Onwards to the appropriate forum.
Kind regards, Nigel
