Thanks for the response but you have just told me the only piece of information I can find about this - its under Text. But like I said it isn't there, there's nothing to do with spelling at all within my Flash programme anywhere. I am using it on Windows 7 64-bit using Adobe Creative cloud on Adobe Flash Professional CS6 - Version 126.96.36.199
Here is a screenshot
Also why is your answer marked as "Correct?" We have not resolved this issue so far.
This option is available in CS6 as explained by Ned Murphy but it looks like you are using Flash CC where Spell check is deprecated.
Ahhh I see, well that clears up my problem, I did not realise there was a difference.
So OK fine but why take something OUT of a new version, are we looking at a version of Flash with less features in favour of this Creative Cloud stuff? This is kind of a kick in the nuts to anyone who assumed that by forking out for an upgrade they would just get more stuff and not loose other well established features on the wayside.
Is there seriously no way to for me get a spell checker on there, again why remove it? I really don't want to have to copy all of the bits of text into word or go over it with a dictionary, what is this? The 90s?
There were numerous useful features removed from Flash (and other applications) when things switched to Cloud versions. If you happen to have CS6 you are probably better off using it still, especially if you are in dire need of the spell-checker functionality. If you happen to have a full subscription, CS6 is available to you as part of that.
I see... well there is no quick solution then, disappointing really. Its nice to know I have that option anyway
Thanks for the help
