As mentioned Premiere Elements tryouts come with an Adobe watermark in the project.prel file. And, that Adobe watermark will also be present on burn to and export to file products derived from the tryout project.
The Adobe watermark in the burn to and export to file products cannot be removed even after purchase of the product.
But the Adobe watermark can be removed from tryout's project file (project.prel) by opening the project file from the tryout in the purchased product, followed by selecting Timeline Menu/Delete Rendered Files. Many of us have found that just opening the project file from the tryout in the purchased product automatically removed the Adobe watermark.
The above explains if, when, and how you can remove the Adobe watermark associated with the tryout of Premiere Elements.

I tried this new version and encountered the same snag! I mounted a project in the evaluation version, happy I got the licence, opened again this project in the acivated PE 12 but was disapointed to see the evaluation banner still present. This is why I got to this forum. Thank you to prof527 post - I got rid of this banner following his advice.
Glad our information worked for you to get rid of the Adobe watermark from the project files derived from the tryout of Premiere Elements.
Please do not hesitate to ask questions or to ask for clarification on anything written.
I would just advise you about one aspect of the language situation. The Adobe web people offer a Translate button at the bottom right of a reply for translation related to several languages. The feature does have one problem. If there is more than one language in the same post, it does not work.
