Adobe stopped selling the boxed version last year. It's now download only.
Seems to be a few boxes for sale from Amazon
Any reason for not buying the download version? You can burn it to DVD after downloading.
The serial number is what you pay for not what’s on the DVD as that is the same as what can be downloaded.
Boxes can be stolen and the serial-numbers they have can be blacklisted by Adobe when they discover the theft, so I’d be suspicious of boxes of Adobe software from a non-Adobe-reseller so be careful.
I’d suggest you buy a CS6 serial-number from Adobe, themselves, and download CS6 from Adobe or ProDesignTools, which links to Adobe’s servers.
CS6 can be purchased here:
Boxed software has lost its usefulness.
The key thing is your serial number. The version in the box is usually so outdated that it wouldn't even run on a more modern machine.
Your best bet is to download it from Adobe. Do the trial, then pay for it.
I recently bought screenwriting software that was outdated the moment the box arrived, and now I have one more box to take care of. Also, the old versions on boxed software include all the kinks the later versions have ironed out. Save yourself the trouble and don't install the old stuff, but the newest one.
And your serial number will always be on file with Adobe.
Thanks all, I appreciate your help. Looks like the download is the way to go...I'm so old school LOL
Do you still have this? If so, I'd pay you for the serial number for In-Design CS6, if it's a legitimate one. I have a CD, but apparently I've just discovered that the serial number is bogus so I've been using a pirated copy all these years (despite paying much money for it boxed originally!) Please contact me (I'm in the uk too)

This particular one wouldn't work. A suite serial number isn't valid for a standalone app - it wouldn't be accepted. What you need is an InDesign serial number, not a suite serial number.
Boxed versions are definitely a thing of the past! It's all about downloading and clouds now!
