That's because Adobe programs cannot be installed by copying them or migrating them from another computer.
You need to install from a copy of your backup download file, or your original disc. If you don't have that, you can download InDesign CS 5.5 from here:

You may have to first clean off the computer of the remnants which were copied over. Use the Adobe Cleaner Tool:
Then do the install of the clean files.

Be sure to provide a comprehensive description of what has been tried before, and list your CS version and operating system.
