jQuery expander not working on BC. Script conflict?

    Jerry @ JBBD Community Member

      Test site is - http://dezine03.businesscatalyst.com/index.html

Problem - JQuery expander is not working in the WORK section. Clicking on an image module should expand up to reveal project details. It does work on my own test site - http://jbbd.net/dzn/test2/index.html - so I know it's not the script itself.

Chat support said it was probably a BC javascript conflict, but couldn't comment any further.

Can anyone help? Otherwise will need to move client off BC.

      Thanks!

          Hi Jerry,

          Check your errors:

I noticed your not starting any of your file paths correct so any subfolder access will not work too,

js/..... etc should be /js/..... You need the forward slash in front of things. With so many script files at a glance I could not find where your get request was but check the paths etc.

            Thanks, Liam ...

            1.     Turned out the problem was that I hadn't yet uploaded the linked html modules. Once I did, the expander functioned. So it was plain stupidity on my part.

That being said, I'm reluctant to change any js or jQuery because I'm not a developer, just a designer with pretty good HTML and CSS skills. The site is based on a template called "One Click" from themeforest.com.

            2.     However, I'm noticing that the expander animation is not as smooth on BC as it was on my test server. The movement is a little jumpy and sudden. The same files, scripts, images, etc. I know that BC adds various lines and types of code when it serves a page, so are there any known BC/jQuery/js issues that I should be aware of? As you mentioned with the js/ and /js/ calls?

But most of all, thanks for taking the time to respond to this. I am deeply appreciative.

            Thanks!
