1. Re: I am having an issue using OS X Mail for email via IMAP
Matt Baracz Jul 3, 2014 5:19 PM (in response to RCsCloud)Hi RCsCloud,
Please ensure you are using the following credentials:
Server: mail.yourdomain.com
Protocol: IMAP
Port: 143
Secure(SSL): No
Regarding the outgoing mail server, I also recommend ensuring that the port is set to 25 and that the option to Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is not selected.
Cheers.

sjelms Aug 27, 2014 2:09 PM (in response to RCsCloud)I am having the same issue with Mac Mail — Version 7.3 (1878.6) running OS 10.9.4. All of the settings look correct with the correct ports, servers, and no SSL. I've not been able to find a solution elsewhere online.
RCsCloud Have you resolved your issue?

James Connor Aug 30, 2014 7:06 PM (in response to sjelms)I am having the identical issue. Unable to set Mac Mail account (version 7.3) to work with business catalyst hosted email. Please advise.
Note: I'm a newbie, but followed RcsCloud's suggestions. Not able to get it to work.

5. Re: I am having an issue using OS X Mail for email via IMAP
sjelms Oct 23, 2014 9:05 PM (in response to BethVanVel)I finally found a solution after a good long chat with BC tech support. What worked for me was to use mail.b.hostedemail.com as incoming and outgoing mail server. This should also allow to use SSL. Also check that your port is either 25 or 8025.
Hope that helps.

7. Re: I am having an issue using OS X Mail for email via IMAP
BethVanVel Oct 28, 2014 8:53 AM (in response to sjelms)Thanks for the info! It didn't work for me but I also spoke with BC support and they said that it seems like my ISP might be blocking the BC port numbers (I've tried 143, 25, 8025 and none of them worked). They suggested I contact my ISP and use the port number they use. So I will try that next.
