mac os: Photoshop CC Preset Manager hangs when I attempt to 'Load.'

I go to preset manager and select brushes.  Then select to 'load.'  Goes to the 'Open' screen and lists folders/files as expected, but I get a spinning wheel that never stops.  The only way to get out of it is to do a 'Force Quit.'

I believe that I caused this problem after I did the following:

      * I was in Preset Manager and had selected all brushes.

      * Curiosity got the best of me and I selected "Rename" (thinking it would rename the group of brushes)

      * Instead, it wanted me to rename EACH brush individually.  I clicked cancel but then it would move the the next brush in the list.  Since I have hundreds of brushes, I knew this would take forever.  There was no way to cancel the process so I did a Force Quit.  That's when I started having the problem described in the first paragraph.

I'm new to Mac (having been a pc guy for 30 yrs).  I don't have a clue where to start on this.  Is there anyway to reinstall PS???
