Yes, I have Lightroom 5.5 and Camera Raw 8.5.
Can you provide a link to one of your GH4 Raw files for us to test it on our Lightroom 5.5 installs?
What are you trying to do when the file are not being recognized? Is there an error message and what does it say?
I can confirm that I get the same results as you do with LR5.5 and PS CC2014 for the file you provided via dropbox (unsupported/ no import)
However, I found a sample .rw2 file for the GH4 on the internet that did work ok. (on Imaging-Resource website in GH4 review)
How did you import the file to your PC? Did you take it directly from the camera to LR, use a card reader to LR or use software provided from camera manufacturer to perform the download?
Nikon's Transfer software can alter photos so that they can not be read by LR so perhaps this is your issue as well (with using camera software as part of your workflow)?
Other than that when I used PhotoME on your file I see the model is listed as a "AG-GH4" whereas the other sample I used says it is "DMC-GH4" (which is the model that LR lists as supported) So this may be why your files can not be loaded?
Thanks for sussing it out!
Hmmm, seems very strange!
I imported the RW2 files straight off the SD card out of the camera. I also tried importing straight off the camera connected via USB and I have the same issues.
I haven't used any other software to import or alter the RW2 file.
BTW I use a Mac. OSX 10.9.3.
I spoke with Panasonic and the "AG-GH4" is the kit with the Interface Unit.
When I went in to get the camera (from a local camera store) they only had that kit available as the standard Body/Lens kit was sold out, so they gave me that body without the Interface Unit.
It appears that Panasonic has two separate firmware updates for the AG and the DMC, which seems odd. I'm going to do the firmware update and see if that makes any difference.
Could it be that Adobe haven't implemented for the AG model yet?
Using ExifTool by Phil Harvey - we just took a file from the AG-GH4 and re-wrote the model of the camera for the file from "AG-GH4" with the name "DMC-GH4" and the file now opens fine with Photoshop CC 2014 and is read correctly (also previews with Apple Preview now).
Here are the 2 files. The AG-GH4.RW2 is the file originally from the camera, DMC-GH4.RW2 file has only had the model number in the file altered using the ExifTool mentioned above.
p.s. I work with amyenb - so this file is from the camera she has been referring to.
p.p.s. Once again, Mac 10.9
