    Catalog export question

    0416alexjames MeganK

In my 5.5 catalog, I have collections, collection sets, smart collections.

I wish to export ONLY a collection set, within it are smart collections and some collections. I DO NOT want to export all collections and images in the catalog.

Pls can anyone advise the correct way, if there is a way?

Here for example (attached) i'd like to export ONLY the selected.

      Thank you

You will either have to export the collection set and then delete the unwanted collections. Or, you will have to export the collections that you want and then create a new collection set in the new catalog and move the collections into the set.

Hi jimhess, thank you for your answer. If I select Kelly collection set only, it also exports all sorts of collections outside of that collection set.

The collections it exported looks like this this (attachment). How terribly strange, is it not? I'm very confused (it took some and left others). I simply wish to export a certain number of collections of my choosing, or a certain Collection set, if I cannot select at random. It feels like it is not possible, any thoughts anyone?

I have a limited use for collections, so I'm probably not the best to be giving advice here. Maybe you'll have to export them one at a time. But you don't have to wait for one export to finish before you start another. You can start multiple export processes and Lightroom will handle them all. You would just have to start them one at a time. Hopefully someone has a better solution for you.
