I upgraded from OSX 10.3.9 to 10.4.7 a month ago when I got a new MacBook Pro.
Now, any attempt to FTP to the remote server causes Dreamweaver MX version 6.1 to crash.
My work around is to use a third-party FTP client which is a slight annoyance.
I just got a new MacBook Pro running Tiger version 10.4.7 and had the exact same problem - Dreamweaver 6.1 crashes when I try to connect to the remote site! For me, though, this is much more than a minor annoyance. Does anyone have any solutions? Like Chicago_DM, I can't afford to upgrade my copy of Studio MX right now.
I continued searching and found a suggested solution: change active FTP setting to passive FTP for each site. I did that and it solved the problem.
