Have you tried to change the Image import settings. When you open up the PS Touch settings -> Image Import you can choose between the native or build-in gallery.

Yes. I did try that. I also tried uninstalling / reinstalling

Did I get you right that your issue is that the native Photobrowser does not come up when you create a new photo layer?
If not could you please attach a screenshot which illustrates the failure.

I can't attach a screen shot. It won't let me do that either. It takes the
screen shot but then nothing happens and it's not saved in my gallery.

here's ascreenshot. I'm having the same issue. Ialready have checked use native browser. 
. But I'm still getting this browser instead.

And once inside a folder the pictures are ordered from oldest to newest. This is a several months old issue now. It used to work fine before the summer update. Can someone figure out what's going on. I don't understand why you needed screenshots unless it's not a universal issue. But there are several reviews indicating that more than just a few people are having this issue. Try importing a photo in a already created project and let us know what happens on your end at least.
