looking to my WIN start menu, Distiller is listed as an indipendent program (see screenshot of my German WIN):

Thank you. Looks like you have Pro vs. Std. Do you know if it is also included with Std?

Yes, Distiller is included with both Adobe Acrobat Standard and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Though, there are some limits, such as the (in)ability to make PDF/X files.
