1. Re: Using reflow for responsive email design
nicofnot Jul 10, 2014 9:06 AM (in response to Arlo G)Since there is no option to place styles inline with the HTML elements, I would not do this. Many ESPs do not support the <style> tag. Of course, if you are somehow able to convert the generated stylesheets to inline styles, then I say go for it (and please share the tool used)!
Reference the Email Standards Project acid test results to determine how to execute those styles in your document.

2. Re: Using reflow for responsive email design
Arlo G Jul 10, 2014 9:51 AM (in response to nicofnot)Well, I was thinking that either the option provided by my esp (Campaign Monitor) would do the job, or a tool like this might work: http://zurb.com/ink/inliner.php
I'm thinking it's only the css that applies to the larger viewports and browser-based clients that needs to be brought inline - from what I understand, support for css on mobile email clients is pretty good.
I haven't delved too deeply, but from what little research I have done, reflow looks like by far the most intuitive way to design a page that is both fluid and responsive - the million dollar question is whether it'll be too time consuming to convert the end result into something that is cross-client compatible (or whether it is even possible).
I've tried asking adobe the question via every route possible, and so far, it seems the product is unsupported (the tech helpline said the forum is the only support offered, and nobody from Adobe seems to be answering in the forum!

Vic Mitnick - Adobe Jul 15, 2014 10:30 AM (in response to Arlo G)Sorry, Arlo - we *are* here and listening .
It's true that Reflow doesn't have any support for inline CSS, but it sounds like your ideas might work. I haven't tried anything similar myself, and we don't have any officially recommended way of doing this, but I'd encourage you to try your plan and see if it does the trick.
Thanks for using Reflow, and sorry I can't give you a more definitive answer!
Vic
