Premiere Elements 11 on Windows XP Professional 32 bit.
Before we talk default microphone-speaker, does this USB microphone work at all with Premiere Elements 11.0 Narration Tool?
Classically USB microphones do not work with Premiere Elements (any version). There have been rare occasions when someone
has been able to use a USB microphone in Premiere Elements.
Nonetheless, please check out Premiere Elements 11 Expert workspace Edit Menu/Preferences/Audio Hardware ASIO. And, under the ASIO button,
inspect the Input and Output choices and settings.
Please review and consider and then let us know the outcome.
This advice was extremely helpful and (I think) has solved the problem!
Sounds like great news. Thanks for the follow up.
But, what was the key to success in this one...the USB connection or the ASIO settings.
Glad for the opportunity to be of assistance.
The USB connection.
When using Premiere 11 (under Windows XP Professional), how do you set up to assure that the format of the output image in the movie fills your full screen?
To answer your question, we would need more details.
1. Where is this Full Screen...your TV screen, your computer player screen, other?
2. When considering the question and answer for this...
a. What are your project settings based on what the project preset was set at?
(See Edit Menu/Project Settings/General and the readings for Editing Mode, Timebase, Frame Size, and Pixel
Aspect Ratio, even if the fields look grayed out.)
b. When you import your source media into the Timeline and view it at play back in the Edit area monitor, do your
source files fill the entire space provided in the monitor?
c. What specific type export do you want - export to file saved to the computer hard drive, upload to YouTube, burn to
The settings for the player of the export are factors. But right now let us confirm what is being outputted.
Please let me know if you need clarification on anything that I have written.
