gener7 Aug 4, 2014 9:47 PM (in response to studio one networks)This sort of explains it: "Arial Narrow" is not recognised as font family by Photoshop Elements (Windows Vista)
Select Arial > Narrow in Photoshop CC and earlier. CC 2014 will display the Arial Narrow family separately
Photoshop CC/Windows 7

R_Kelly Aug 5, 2014 2:06 AM (in response to studio one networks)Maybe this is the cause and solution?
Arial Narrow unavailable, incomplete | CS applications | Windows
I don't think that solution that i posted will work unless you have office 2007?

Noel Carboni Aug 5, 2014 8:20 AM (in response to R_Kelly)Interesting. The Windows 7 Ultimate x64 VM that I use for testing did NOT have the ARIALN*.* series of narrow font sets installed, nor any Arial Narrow fonts by any action by Microsoft. It IS fully updated per Windows Update. Perhaps this says Adobe's statement "The issue has been addressed by Microsoft" isn't completely true regarding Windows 7 systems, at least not automatically so.
After capturing the above, I installed the fonts manually on the test system by dragging them into the C:\Windows\Fonts folder using Explorer (causing an implicit install). Now they DO show up in Photoshop.
