Why have some of my pages in InDesign CC suddenly gone blank?

I've been working on the design for a 72 page magazine. I updated from CS6 to CC during the week, then continued working on the magazine in CC. Suddenly I noticed that in two separate places in the magazine, two sections of 4 pages had suddenly gone blank, i.e. the images, text boxes, etc that were previously on them had vanished, and, when I tried to re-create the items that had disappeared, I can't add anything to these blank pages. I just get a pop up message saying 'Unable t set bounding box' and then it moves the document back to the last page I was working on. When I tried again and again, InDesign crashed. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a fix for this? Can I get my pages back?
