1. Re: How to automatically set the parameters for an effect
Cgunningham Jul 12, 2014 12:50 PM (in response to Howard Hoffman)In a word no. You might want to look into js scripting in after effects that's the only thing I can think of.

2. Re: How to automatically set the parameters for an effect
Howard Hoffman Jul 12, 2014 12:56 PM (in response to Cgunningham)All right. Is it possible to create a keyboard shortcut to do that (like F2)?
thanks

3. Re: How to automatically set the parameters for an effect
Howard Hoffman Jul 12, 2014 12:57 PM (in response to Howard Hoffman)I mean a keyboard shortcut to at least bring up the dialog. Minimally, I can avoid moving the mouse all the way to find that little button to click.
Thanks

4. Re: How to automatically set the parameters for an effect
Cgunningham Jul 12, 2014 1:13 PM (in response to Howard Hoffman)Well probably js script isn't the solution as you still need to run the script. You could look at macro recording software that records your actions and repeats (assignable to a key stroke) sorry I don't use them myself so can't recommend anything specifically.

5. Re: How to automatically set the parameters for an effect
Ann Bens Jul 12, 2014 1:37 PM (in response to Howard Hoffman)Are you talking about the build in Warp Stabilizer?
If so, you should not have to set it manually. It should render immediately after you applied to a clip.

Howard Hoffman Jul 12, 2014 3:02 PM (in response to Ann Bens)I am using ProDAD Mercalli.

7. Re: How to automatically set the parameters for an effect
Ann Bens Jul 12, 2014 4:35 PM (in response to Howard Hoffman)Then can't you use a preset?

8. Re: How to automatically set the parameters for an effect
Howard Hoffman Jul 12, 2014 6:00 PM (in response to Ann Bens)When you apply Mercalli to a clip, Premiere does not trigger the calibration for the stablization. Instead, I have to to the effect pane and click on the icon to bring up the dialog to do that.
Preset, as I understand, it a set of effect along with its parameters to be applied to the clip. It does not trigger the calibration required.
Am I missing something? Certainly would be great to find a way to do that.
Thanks

9. Re: How to automatically set the parameters for an effect
shooternz Jul 12, 2014 6:51 PM (in response to Howard Hoffman)Its a 3rd Party Plugin so you may need to talk to its authors.
Can you copy and paste it across clips with parameters.

10. Re: How to automatically set the parameters for an effect
Howard Hoffman Jul 12, 2014 6:53 PM (in response to shooternz)Copy & paste attributes do not trigger the calibration.
