Is this possible in Flash CC 2014? Or even any earlier version? Doesn't seem to be but I am hoping I am wrong. I want to be able to slightly automate selecting a bitmap file in Flash and opening it in Photoshop. Right now the workflow to doing this is to select the bitmap, right click on it and select edit with Photoshop from the pulldown menu. It seems that there should be a way to map a key command to this action since other actions on that same pulldown menu have key commands set to them. Anyone know how to do this or if it's even possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Yes that should be easily possible. Follow these steps:
1 Go to the 'Edit' menu in Flash Pro and select 'Keyboard Shortcuts..'
2 Type 'edit with' in the search field and see that your operation gets listed below.
3 Click on the shortcut column and press the desired shortcut key to assign for your operation. Press OK to accept.
Okay yes I see how to do it, Thanks! I do not see that option to search in Flash CS6. Where might I find in CS6?
Flash CS6 does not seem to have this particular shortcut. The search functionality along with some other enhancements in Keyboard shortcut dialog was added in Flash CC.
